If the Friday is the 31<sup>st<\/sup>, the competition is held the following weekend).<\/p>\n<p>The majority of competitions are \u201copen\u201d, where anglers can fish any public waterway within a 200km radius of the clubhouse.<\/p>\n<p>In an open competition, fishing commences at 5pm on the Friday of an open competition and anglers must present to a weigh-in at the clubhouse by 5pm on the Sunday. This changes to 4pm during daylight savings times.<\/p>\n<p>All cabins are free for members to use on competition weekends.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some competitions are \u201cclosed\u201d competitions, which are held at a specific location. Currently, there are 3 closed events in the LAC events calendar:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\">\n<li>Bunyip Competition \u2013 Dora Dora Cabin<\/li>\n<li>Mitta Mitta Comp \u2013 Mitta Mitta Cabin<\/li>\n<li>Blowering Dam Competition<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are several other events in the LAC calendar, including:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\">\n<li>Annual Mallacoota Trip<\/li>\n<li>Cabin working bees<\/li>\n<li>Bunnings BBQ\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Many more<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Further information on upcoming events can be found in the events calendar and on our Facebook page.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Competitions are typically held on the first full weekend of each month (Eg.
